BARNSLEY BASED HOSPITALITY GROUP, FINE & COUNTRY INNS, ENTERS ITS THIRD COUNTY AS IT TAKES OVER IT’S 7TH VENUE

Fastly approaching it’s 8 year anniversary, Fine & Country Inns celebrates this week as it takes over its 7th venue, increasing its business size by more than 50% in the last 12 months.

Two years ago, the nationwide lockdown affected every individual, industry and business across the country; with a looming fear of security and uncertainty, especially for those working in the hospitality sector.

Through the struggles and the hardships, many operators within the hospitality sector have tragically had to close their doors, with the repercussions of the pandemic having a significant negative impact that just can’t be fought any longer.

 

With the doors closed to their three successful South Yorkshire ventures, Barnsley based operators, Fine & Country Inns, used their time in lockdown to regroup, focus and strategically begin their plans for the future. With hard work, drive and determination the company successfully launched an additional two venues in April 2021, including the takeover of award winning boutique hotel and restaurant, Brocco on the Park. 

 

Reflecting on the 2021 growth, Chairman and CEO of Fine & Country Inns, Gary Hunt, proudly comments; “Since the launch of our flagship venue, The Strafford Arms, both myself and my fellow FCIG Director, Ash, have shared the same vision to grow our company to a large, successful operation. Although extremely tough to see our doors closed for so long, having this time was a much appreciated opportunity for us to plan the future of Fine and Country Inns. To not alone reopen our pre-established venues, at such a time of uncertainty, but to launch a new picturesque country pub and boutique hotel was certainly a challenge – but one I was sure we could accomplish with the help and support of our fantastic employees.”

 

Following the busy summer months, and a small sense of normality returning to the social lives of their customers, Gary, Ash and their team were ready for their next adventure. Leading up to Christmas, with 5 prestigious venues to their name, Fine and Country Inns launched its second Derbyshire pub, just in time for the festivities.

“Incredible business prospects do not come around often, and that’s why sometimes we need to work quickly to secure these deals to grow our estate and portfolio; The Bulls Head in Denby being a shining example of this.” Hunt.

 

Despite still being in the first quarter, 2022 has already began to shape into a spectacular year for Fine and Country Inns as this week they take over their seventh venue, the idyllic country pub, The Shepherd’s Rest in Lower Bagthorpe, Nottinghamshire. Surrounded by countryside, The Shepherd’s Rest is a boasts comfort, offering both exceptional service and the best locally sourced produce available.

 

Fine and Country Inn’s rapid growth has enabled job security to it’s 150+ employees with continued working opportunities available whilst they are actively recruiting to enhance their ever growing team.
